Nancy Warner

Nancy has been involved in music for most of her life and appreciates all forms and styles of music.  She started piano lessons early in life, shortly followed by violin lessons.   Her grandfather was very musical, a part of several bands through out his life in Canada.  He played two difficult instruments; trombone and fiddle.   He made the fiddles he played and with his Irish background, Nancy heard jigs most evenings during her years at home.  For the first twelve years of violin, Nancy played on a violin created and made by her grandfather.  Nancy was chosen to be the accompanist for Vermont’s All State Music festival as well as a participant in the All State Orchestra for five year with her violin.   She continued with music lessons during her high school years.  Her love for music continues through-out her adult life.   She continues her involvement with music by playing her keyboard at numerous jam sessions as well as presenting a fiddle tune or two!  She has special interest in providing harmony with her husband; twin fiddles!  Her instructor is Peter Miller of Cambridge, Vermont.  She has also participated at the Heritage Music Camp and other instructional offering for both the keyboard and the fiddle.  She is a member of NEFJA and has successfully completed her instruction in the judging standards and scoring system utilized for fiddle contests.
